About

AI Is Not the Answer

A running record of what AI is actually doing out in the world.

The wins and the failures, side by side, each one linked to the reporting it came from. Search for anything, a company, a mistake, a cure, and the feed pulls every story that matches. Categories cut the clutter: health, finance, jobs, law, bias, deepfakes, made-up answers, human error and more.

Why it exists

AI is not the answer. It’s the practice you do before you have one. AI doesn’t fail where the system was strong. It fails where it was already weak. Those systems were weak because we optimized the human parts out of them: the research step, the review step, the person whose name was on it. We own those steps.

The headlines move fast and most of us only catch the loudest ones. This keeps the whole record in one place, so you can see the pattern for yourself: what it opened up, what it broke, and whose name was on it.

Where it came from

It started as a talk. AI Is Not the Answer ran for AIGA Philadelphia × PhillyCHI at the IBX Innovation Center on 8 October 2026: six chapters on the landscape, what it’s costing us, a few common threads, who’s accountable, the examples, and what it all means. The deck had twenty-three failures in it. This feed is the deck kept open.

How it works

  • Every hour, on the hour, the feed checks every outlet we can find: more than 260 sources, from newsrooms and tech desks to science journals, plus news searches that reach thousands more.
  • Duplicates are merged, so one story shows once. Each post links to the original article. Images and headlines belong to their outlets.
  • A set of hand-picked stories from the talk sits alongside the live feed.
  • Hit Refresh now any time to pull the latest. No accounts, no tracking.
